We are always looking for committed coaches and/or team mom or dads for both Cheerleading and Football who have time to meet the demanding schedule for practices, meetings, and games.
If you have time to commit to coaching, and would like your name submitted to a team head coach as a potential volunteer, please complete the coach’s application and fax or email it to Coach Suggs. Any person who coached in a prior year, and would like to coach again must also complete the coaches application every year, and be approved to coach.
In addition to a coach application, potential coaches will be required to take mandatory educational course as required by the league and/or the Windsor Giants. A criminal background check on all coaches is ordered to confirm no record for crimes against children. After we receive the coach application, the criminal background check meets the CTYFL League and Windsor Giants guidelines, and you have been approved by the respective Cheerleading or Football Director, your name will be available to the head coach of the team you would like to volunteer coach. If the head coach needs additional volunteers they may contact you.
Please keep in mind, the team head coach is allowed to select his/her staff of assistant coaches subject to verification an acceptable criminal check, successful completion of all required educational courses, and/or the approval of the respective Football or Cheerleading Director. Therefore, filling out a coach application or coaching in a prior season does not automatically allow you to be a coach, but it does allow your name to be provided to the head coach as a potential parent volunteer.
