How many games are in a season?
The Connecticut Youth Football League (CTYFL) typically schedules at least seven or eight games for each age group depending on the number of teams in the league.  The regular season is September – October.   Players that are on the competitive teams (A, B, and C) will have the opportunity to play up to three more playoff games depending on their regular season record, and post season games in the month of November.  All post season games will end the weekend before or the weekend of Thanksgiving

The regular season games start the Sunday after Labor Day, and continue until Mid November for the all age groups except 7&8 (MITES).  League rules require football players to weigh-in 30 minutes prior to kickoff to be eligible to play in the game.  Any player who misses the team weigh-in prior to the game is ineligible to play that game.
